Infused with five rare cannabinoids for optimal potency, this Limited Edition Diamond is one of the most creative edibles ever produced.
The idea for “Mutant Radioactive Edible Diamonds” was born out of the Melee team’s passion for all things cannabis, art, and NFTs.
After a few months of R&D inside Melee labs, we were able to concoct a product with exotic flavors, natural ingredients, and hemp derived cannabinoids that was truly designed to give consumers super strength, cause time travel, and help them mutate into the best version of themself.
The theme of this project was inspired by Melee owned NFT Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) #4573 which can be found front and center on the glow in the dark packaging.
What Are The 5 Cannabinoids Infused Into The Edible?
The luminescent green diamonds boast 4mg D9, 20mg D8/D10, 6mg THC-O, and 9mg HHC, thereby achieving the golden ratio of 420:69.
Thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill (which clarifies that Hemp is federally legal as long as it contains no more than 0.3% Delta-9 THC on a dry weight basis), we were able to infuse 5 different hemp derived cannabinoids into our Limited Edition Radioactive Diamond.
Learn more about each cannabinoid and its effects below
Delta-8 THC:
Delta-8 THC is considered to be the “nicer, younger sibling” to Delta-9 THC. Delta-8 is slightly psychoactive and produces milder effects compared to Delta-9.
Delta-9 THC:
Delta- 9 THC is the main psychoactive ingredient in cannabis, meaning it’s the cannabinoid that’s responsible for the famous “high” that we all know and love. D9 THC may help with producing feelings of euphoria, enhancing creative experiences, increasing appetite, and altering time perception.
Delta-10 THC:
Delta-10 THC, similar to Delta-8 THC, produces slightly psychoactive and milder effects but is commonly reported to provide more energizing effects compared to Delta-8 which is reported to be more sedating.
THC-O:
THC-O is also known as the “spiritual cannabinoid” because it is considered to be 3x as potent as typical Delta-9 THC. It has been reported that THC-O delivers a psychoactive high that can be both euphoric, sedative, and in some doses potentially even psychedelic.
HHC:
HHC is considered to be slightly stronger than Delta-8 THC with effects leaning more towards Delta-9 THC. Some HHC users describe its effects to be more relaxing than stimulating as well as euphoric.
What is an NFT?
A non-fungible token (NFT) is a digital code that represents some type of digital asset, which provides proof of ownership. That asset could be digital art, collectibles or music for example.
NFTs have recently gained attention because they are becoming a more popular way to acquire and sell digital artwork. Anyone may look at the individual photos or even the entire collage online for free. So you must be wondering, why are people willing to spend millions of dollars on something that they might just take a screenshot of or obtain for free? Let us explain.
Basically if you own an NFT, you own the original item. It contains built-in authentication, which also serves as proof of ownership. Collectors around the world value those “digital bragging rights” almost more than the item itself. In simpler terms, if you own an NFT, you can do whatever you want with it which includes incorporating it into your brand. Now hopefully this sheds some light as to why we put our Mutant Ape Yacht Club #4573, which was purchased by Melee, onto our packaging.
What is the Mutant Ape Yacht Club?
Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) is a collection of NFTs that were released by the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), which is owned by NFT powerhouse Yuga Labs. Some famous celebrities who hold a Bored Ape include Steve Aoki, Tom Brady, Justin Bieber, and Snoop Dogg.
The MAYC is a collection of 20,000 Mutant Apes that were created by exposing a Bored Ape to a vial of Mutant Serum.
If none of this makes sense to you, don’t worry. We understand it may be confusing but we are here to help introduce you to the world of NFTs and all the fun things that are involved with them. If you ever want to learn more about NFTs, don’t hesitate to DM us on Instagram where we can go into more detail.
